QS IMPACT 2026 Awards for sustainability initiatives These represent a unique opportunity for projects that combine innovation, environmental responsibility and social impact in communities across Cape Verde and beyond. Organised by QS, these awards recognise initiatives that demonstrate measurable results in reducing carbon emissions, promoting the circular economy and strengthening climate resilience. Applicants can enter categories such as renewable energy, waste management, sustainable agriculture and environmental education, and will be assessed by a panel of international experts who will consider creativity, scalability and potential for replication.

In addition to global recognition, the winners receive seed funding of up to 50,000 euros, access to mentoring from industry leaders, and exposure on QS Education’s platforms, which helps them attract new partners and investors. To take part, organisations must submit a detailed proposal, including clear objectives, impact metrics and a financial sustainability plan. Applications are open to NGOs, start-ups, educational institutions and local authorities operating in Cape Verde or with established partnerships in the archipelago.
