Nominations are open for the Royal Society Africa Prize 2024 The Royal Society Africa Prize is intended to recognize research scientists based in Africa who are making an innovative contribution to science.
The Royal Society is encouraging nominations of collaborations, groups or joint teams for almost all of its medals, to better represent how contemporary science is conducted. Furthermore, the Society is extremely interested in broadening the diversity of those nominated for its awards, so please consider all contacts and colleagues.

The Royal Society Africa Prize 2023 is awarded to Professor Kelly Chibale for her exceptional leadership and groundbreaking work in discovering medicines for endemic African diseases.
Prize
- The medal is made of bronze, awarded annually, and comes with a gift of £2,000.

- The Prize is intended for researchers in the advanced stages of their research career with the potential to develop a research project that follows up on the award.
