Registration for the Keeling Curve 2024 Award are now open. The Keeling Curve Prize awards US$ 50,000 annually to each of 10 global projects that demonstrate the ability to reduce, replace or remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. Since 2018, they have awarded 1.75 million dollars to 60 non-profit, for-profit and start-up organisations, evaluated more than 1,130 viable solutions and developed one of the largest networks of global warming mitigators in the world.
The Keeling Curve Prize is more than a financial award - it drives the growth of countless deserving climate leaders at the pace needed to achieve significant and lasting emissions reductions across the planet. Candidates come from more than 109 countries around the world and represent emerging markets, women-led and BIPOC organisations and some of the world's least resourced and vulnerable communities.

- They accept applications for active projects or programmes from anywhere in the world.
- The Keeling Curve Award is only given to current programmes and projects.
- Applications centred on previous work, unimplemented ideas or untested hypotheses will not be accepted.
- Entries for the Keeling Curve Award must be submitted in English. To ensure the legitimacy and accuracy of your answers, GWMP cannot take responsibility for their translation.
- Your project can be aligned with more than one award category. The entry form requires you to designate a primary category for your entry, but also allows you to list secondary categories for consideration. However, applicants are only eligible to win in one category in a given year.
- Candidates who have not received an award can apply in subsequent years.
- Previous award winners can submit applications for new projects that are different from previous award-winning projects and that use different methods and approaches to reduce or increase the absorption of greenhouse gas emissions.
- Applications that do not attempt to quantify their emission reductions or address the functional and financial scalability of the project (Questions 8 to 10) will not be considered.
