LEVANTE 2026 – Research on Learning Variability

A learning variability It is a phenomenon intrinsic to the educational process, manifesting itself in different forms and rhythms among students. Recognizing and understanding this diversity is the central pillar of the “LEVANTE 2026 – Research on Learning Variability” project, an ambitious initiative that aims to deepen scientific knowledge about the causes, manifestations, and implications of individual differences in the path of knowledge acquisition in Cape Verde. This project intends to go beyond merely observing this reality, seeking to develop innovative pedagogical strategies and support resources that can be effectively applied in the Cape Verdean school context, promoting inclusion and educational success for all.

The proposed research will encompass diverse aspects, from the analysis of socioeconomic and cultural factors that influence learning variability to the study of differentiated and personalized teaching methodologies. Technological tools that can assist in the early identification of difficulties and potential, as well as in adapting curriculum content to the specific needs of each student, will be explored. Collaboration with educators, researchers, policymakers, and the community at large is fundamental to ensuring that the research results are relevant, applicable, and sustainable in the long term, culminating in the creation of a more equitable and effective educational model.

The expected impact of “LEVANTE 2026” transcends the academic sphere. The aim is not only to improve student performance, but also to foster a more inclusive and motivating school environment where each individual feels valued and supported in their development process. Disseminating the results and best practices identified will contribute to the continuous training of teachers and to raising societal awareness of the importance of addressing learning variability in a proactive and informed way. Ultimately, the project aims to empower young Cape Verdeans with the skills necessary to face the challenges of the 21st century, consolidating education as an engine of development and progress for the country.
