The Charter Project Africa, in collaboration with UA-ECOSOCC, is launching a call for proposals to promote civic technology and digital engagement across Africa, with the aim of strengthening democratic governance and citizen participation in continental institutions.
The invitation invites potential candidates to collaborate with AU-ECOSOCC in refining and improving its digital engagement strategy. Priorities include audience analysis, message and channel testing, developing an engagement strategy, and establishing effective feedback mechanisms.

Financing
- The total budget available under this current call for proposals is €30,000. The winning proposal will be supported for an implementation period of approximately five months (to be confirmed at the time of contracting). The beneficiary will enter into a grant agreement with the European Partnership for Democracy.
Eligibility
- Open to non-profit and for-profit organizations, including social enterprises, within the civic and technological ecosystem.
- It must be registered in an AU Member State.
- Organizations with demonstrated capabilities in audience research and engagement strategy, and a focus on innovation and large-scale impact interventions, are encouraged to apply.
- A comprehensive understanding of AU policies, prior engagements with AU bodies, and alignment with the AU agenda are also valued.
