Comunidade365 paid a visit to the Achada Eugénio Lima Community Association (ACAEL), on 18 May, with the aim of learning about the initiatives promoted by the association, as well as presenting the programme that seeks to strengthen the role of sport as a key tool for achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Achada Eugénio Lima Community Association carries out initiatives aimed at improving the community’s quality of life, focusing on four main pillars: education, skills training, social action and community development. The organisation provides educational support for children and young people, training courses for women and young people, charity campaigns for vulnerable families, and initiatives that strengthen the community’s well-being and cohesion.
The Comunidade365 visit programme aims to encourage and support the certification of organisations that make a difference in their communities, ensuring that they operate in accordance with the principles of good governance in the third sector.
