The Comunidade365 Bootcamp is once again taking on an international dimension in this latest edition, establishing itself as a forum for training and exchange amongst young people from different countries, with a focus on leadership, community transformation and social impact through sport and collective action.
In this edition, the programme brings together, for the first time, young people from the Institute of Educational Sciences (ICE) in Portugal and the Maracanã Sports and Cultural Association in Ponta D’Água, in Cape Verde, creating a joint educational experience that transcends borders and promotes intercultural dialogue.
A practical training course for community leaders
Throughout the bootcamp, participants will develop essential skills in leadership, team management, communication and conflict resolution, within a collaborative learning environment. The methodology focuses on practical experience and immersion in the real-world context of organising community events.
The main aim is to prepare these young people to take on active roles in transforming their communities, by providing them with the tools that enable them to act independently, thoughtfully and collaboratively.
From bootcamp to action: Kumunidadi Fest 2026
The highlight of this edition will be the practical application of the knowledge gained in organising the Kumunidadi Fest, which returns on 4 July in Ponta D’Água, in the city of Praia.
The festival, already recognised as one of the country’s largest community initiatives, will once again serve as a forum bringing together sport, culture, citizenship and social entrepreneurship, with young people playing a central role in its design and implementation.
Exchange, inclusion and social transformation
More than just a training programme, the Comunidade365 Bootcamp has established itself as a genuine laboratory for youth leadership, fostering exchange between young people from different social and cultural backgrounds.
This year’s edition also strengthens the link between Cape Verde and the diaspora, incorporating international experiences that contribute to a broader vision of community development.
At a time when youth participation is becoming increasingly important, the programme stands out for its focus on developing social and personal skills that extend beyond the training room — and which translate into a real impact on the local community.
The Comunidade365 Bootcamp thus reaffirms its mission: to develop leaders, strengthen communities and turn ideas into concrete action.
