AFWCNet – small grants for women's initiatives
The AFWCNet initiative is launching an invitation to all women entrepreneurs and community leaders in Cape Verde to submit their applications for a cycle of... small grants for women's initiativesThis program aims to strengthen women's empowerment through financial support for innovative projects that promote socioeconomic development, gender equality, and well-being in their communities. We believe in the transformative potential of Cape Verdean women and their ability to generate a positive and lasting impact.
The AFWCNet program is designed to address the specific needs of smaller-scale projects with significant growth and reach potential. Proposals in a wide range of areas will be considered, including but not limited to: sustainable entrepreneurship, education and training, health and well-being, arts and culture, and environmental initiatives. The goal is to support ideas that demonstrate viability, sustainability, and a clear benefit to the local community, encouraging innovation and collaboration among women.
The structure of the grants offered by AFWCNet allows for considerable flexibility, adapting to the nature and size of each project. Selected applicants will not only receive financial support, but will also have access to mentoring and a valuable network of contacts, facilitating the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of partnerships. This personalized support is fundamental to ensuring the success of the initiatives and the full achievement of the proposed objectives, helping to overcome common barriers faced by female entrepreneurs.
Applications must clearly demonstrate how the proposed initiative contributes to the overall objectives of the AFWCNet program, namely women's empowerment and community development. It is essential that projects present a detailed action plan, a transparent budget, and a realistic timeline. We want to kickstart promising ideas and see women in Cape Verde flourish, leading positive change on their islands and throughout the country.
