The African Internet Governance Forum Secretariat is excited to extend a warm invitation to all passionate young Africans to participate in the highly anticipated African Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2023, which will take place at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja. As you prepare for this important event, the IGF is pleased to announce the Call for Travel Support, aimed at promoting inclusive participation and enabling aspiring participants to actively contribute to the future of Internet governance in Africa.
IGF firmly believes that IGF Africa should be a space where all voices are heard, especially those of the continent's vibrant youth. To this end, They are pleased to announce the Travel Support Call to facilitate the participation of deserving Youth who may face financial constraints to attend the event.
If you are keen to contribute to the Africa IGF 2023 and need travel support, you are encouraged to fill in the application form. The application process is designed to assess your passion for Internet governance, your potential contributions to the forum and your financial needs to ensure a more inclusive representation.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be African residents.
 - The candidate must be a young person (between the ages of 15 and 35).
 - Demonstrated interest in governance, politics or areas related to the Internet.
 - Clear explanation of how participating in IGF Africa will benefit both the candidate and the continent.
 - Willingness to cover visa costs independently.
 
Support Levels: They are pleased to offer two types of travel support:
- Full support: This comprehensive support package includes travel, accommodation and local transport.
 - Partial support: This support package covers travel or accommodation.

- Registration deadline: 7th August 2023
 - Announcement of selected participants: 18th August 2023 (via emails)
