Applications are now open for the Click-on Kaduna Data Science Scholarship Programme 2023 . The Data Science Fellowship Programme is part of Kaduna State's Data Revolution Plan, which aims to strengthen coordination in the collection and use of data for evidence-based decision-making.
The Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme is a Digital Skills and Development Programme implemented by the Kaduna Bureau of Statistics that aims to train data management professionals. In all, 100 young people will be trained in Data Science and the use of modern tools to improve public policy and decision-making in the state. The Data Science Fellowship Programme is part of the Kaduna State Data Lab Project implemented jointly by the Kaduna State Government, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Natview Foundation for Technological Innovation.
The programme is expected to last for a period of 6 months, divided into a 3-month intensive training programme and a 3-month paid internship, where participants will have the opportunity to work closely with the Amina J. Mohammed SDG Data Lab under the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics. Fellows will also be deployed to MDAs, especially the State Ministry of Health and other agencies, to support in data coordination efforts that will provide impact to the society.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be aged between 18 and 35, except in exceptional cases;
- The applicant's state of residence must be in Kaduna;
- Graduates from Tertiary Institutions in any of the STEMS courses, particularly: Statistics, Maths, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Physical Sciences and any other health-related discipline. Undergraduate students in the identified STEM areas who are doing their internships of 6 months to 1 year are also encouraged to apply.
- They are looking for people with the following skills:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Basic knowledge of using data and understanding Microsoft Excel
- Problem-solving skills
- Communication skills (written and verbal English)
- Gender balance and distribution of 50% will be considered during the selection process.

- Step 9: If you are successful, you will be contacted to take part in an individual interview with the selection panel.
