The worldwide exchange of ideas and knowledge is key to producing world-class research and education. This grant aims to remove financial barriers for students from low- and middle-income countries to visit ETH Zurich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ETH4D Visiting Student Grant provides funding for ETH professors to invite a student from a low- or middle-income country to ETH Zurich for a research stay of 3 to 6 months. The visiting student must be enrolled as a master's student (MA\/MSc) at their home institution. Visiting students have the opportunity to learn new methodologies, build their networks and develop their research projects in a new academic environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grant covers the following expenses up to a maximum of 16.5 kCHF:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Subsistence allowance during research stay: 2.3 kCHF per month<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economy return ticket to and from Switzerland (max. 2 kCHF)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visa fees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The grant awarded will be transferred to the teacher's ETH account. The teacher is responsible for the administration and reporting of the finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ETH professors can invite a visiting student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professors can invite a doctoral student who is enrolled at a university or research institute in a country listed in the\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/dac\/financing-sustainable-development\/development-finance-standards\/DAC-List-of-ODA-Recipients-for-reporting-2024-25-flows.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OECD\/DAC list<\/a>\u00a0.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference will be given to students from less developed countries with low and lower-middle incomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application for the ETH4D Student Project Scholarship comprises two stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host teacher's application to ETH4D for the scholarship via the electronic application form. The following documents are required:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Description of the project and objectives to be achieved during the research stay, including (maximum 750 words). The project description should include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Background and research questions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Main activities during the research stay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expected results and deliverables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Main lessons learnt during the stay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deadline and work plan in the form of a Gantt chart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student motivation letter (max. 1 page)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student CV (max. 2 pages), including list of publications and two references<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student's most recent transcripts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Letter of support from the ETH Zurich host professor, including statement of any financial and in-kind contributions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student project mobility application through the ETH Zurich Student Exchange Office to obtain admission and Project Mobility Student status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eth4d.ethz.ch\/funding-opportunities\/ETH4D-exchange-grants\/student-project-fellowship\/_jcr_content\/par\/greybox_textimage_142347597\/par\/image_6b47\/image.imageformat.930.1037284591.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to register<\/a><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prazo: 15 de outubro de 2024 Est\u00e3o abertas as inscri\u00e7\u00f5es para o&nbsp;ETH for Development (ETH4D) Visiting Student Grant 2024&nbsp;para estudantes de LMICs.
