{"id":7262,"date":"2024-07-23T09:47:41","date_gmt":"2024-07-23T10:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/?p=7262"},"modified":"2024-07-23T09:59:50","modified_gmt":"2024-07-23T10:59:50","slug":"subsidios-do-unodc-para-oscs-ongs-cbos-programa-child-para-criancas-expostas-a-drogas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/en\/bolsas-e-fundos\/subsidios-do-unodc-para-oscs-ongs-cbos-programa-child-para-criancas-expostas-a-drogas\/","title":{"rendered":"UNODC Grants for CSOs\/NGOs\/CBOs: CHILD Programme for Drug Exposed Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;August 16, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CHILD Implementation Grants Program seeks to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations in low- and middle-income countries working in the area of drug use prevention and treatment, care and rehabilitation, employing staff trained in the CHILD curriculum and implementing activities for children and adolescents who are actively using drugs or at risk of using drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This Call for Proposals takes into account the importance of leveraging all available resources to implement activities aimed at fulfilling the objectives of this Grants program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The objective of this grant program is to strengthen the capacity of civil society to prevent drug use worldwide, utilizing evidence-based drug prevention, treatment, care, and rehabilitation interventions, with a focus on...\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/children\/\">children<\/a>\u00a0and young teenagers at risk of using drugs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Thematic Focus and Priority Issues&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/latest-funds-for-ngos\/\">Call for Proposals<\/a>\u00a0This initiative aims to provide financial support to non-profit organizations working in the area of drug use prevention and treatment, care, and rehabilitation, with personnel trained in the CHILD Curriculum and whose projects aim to implement evidence-based drug use prevention, treatment, care, and rehabilitation programs for children and adolescents who actively use or are at risk of using drugs in South American, Asian, and African countries where CHILD Curriculum training has been offered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subsidized funding under this Call for Proposals will be granted to projects that:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They are focused on the prevention and treatment of substance use among children based on evidence. This will be evaluated based on how well the project activities align with the types of interventions and policies considered effective in preventing substance use based on available scientific evidence, as described in the UNODC-WHO International Standards on Drug Use Prevention and the UNODC-WHO International Standards for the Treatment of Substance Use Disorders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are focused on children and adolescents aged 4 to 12 and implemented in a developmentally appropriate manner, allowing the language, key messages, and interventions to be adapted to the child&#039;s age and stage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To demonstrate the use and dissemination of the CHILD curriculum (link) designed to help reduce drug use among children;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To provide a set of measures and plans for collecting process and outcome data to show the extent to which the CHILD curriculum is used to treat children with substance use problems. Ideally, the CARRE measure will be included in the set of measures used to evaluate the outcomes of the CHILD intervention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Information on financing<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proposals with budgets ranging from USD 10,000 to USD 50,000. Please note that cost-effectiveness will be evaluated as part of the ranking criteria, and proposed budgets must be expressed in US dollars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As a general rule at UNOV\/UNODC, grants should not exceed the organization&#039;s annual revenue in the previous fiscal year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All activities funded by this Grant program must be implemented within the timeframe of the agreement (9 to 12 months). Depending on the period proposed in the agreement, the implementation of the activities must be completed no later than January 9, 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Location&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants from low- and middle-income countries in South America, Asia, or Africa who intend to implement projects for beneficiaries within the same country are eligible for grant funding.
