Launched in 2017, the Allianz Climate Risk Prize celebrates early career scientists whose work sheds light on the link between climate change and extreme weather events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Allianz Climate Risk Award is a global prize open to doctoral candidates and post-doctoral researchers whose research focuses on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand and mitigate the risk of extreme weather events that are intensified by climate change;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting resilience through the application of technological solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>10 candidates are selected by a jury made up of experts from industry and academia and their work is published in a compendium on the Allianz Re website. Of the 10 shortlisted candidates, the 3 finalists are invited to Munich, Germany, to present their research project at the Allianz Climate Risk Award event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The winner of the Allianz Climate Risk Award 2024 will receive a cash prize of 7,000 euros.
