This programme aims to equip participants with the skills, guidance and resources needed to achieve product-market fit and scale their ventures. The fellowship begins with an immersive in-person experience in Boulder, Colorado, followed by virtual sessions. This structure offers award-winning training, committed mentoring and a supportive community of peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bag details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important dates and format<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Programme duration:<\/strong>\u00a01st August to 12th November 2024 (16 weeks).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Immersive face-to-face:<\/strong>\u00a0a 10-day immersive session starting on 1 August 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Virtual Sessions:<\/strong>\u00a0Weekly sessions for the remaining 15 weeks (8-10 hours per week).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training and Support<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The fellows will take part in weekly sessions given by experts covering essential topics such as Fundamentals, Data and Metrics, Go-To-Market, Financing, Team Management and Pitching. The programme also includes the Impact Series, where renowned leaders and entrepreneurs share their experiences and mentor the fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Basecamp and Summit<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Each Fellow will organise a \"Basecamp\" in their community, a 1-3 day workshop designed to bring together local stakeholders, share venture work, receive feedback and promote community involvement. The fellowship ends with a Summit on 12 November 2024, where Fellows present their ventures to local leaders, funders and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility and application process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who should apply?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Entrepreneurs and Community Leaders:<\/strong>\u00a0Individuals committed to creating a sustainable and scalable impact in their communities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Entrepreneurial stage:<\/strong>\u00a0the ideal candidates are at the stages of problem-solution fit or product-market fit, with engaged customers or beneficiaries and demonstrated results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Geographical Focus:<\/strong>\u00a0Preference is given to candidates from the USA, Mexico, East Africa, Brazil, Johor Bahru, Malaysia and China.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application steps<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Send registration:<\/strong>\u00a0Complete the online application by 1st June 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review of the first round:<\/strong>\u00a0applications are analysed for strong leadership qualities and innovative, scalable ventures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interview:<\/strong>\u00a0Qualified candidates will be invited to a 20-minute Zoom interview.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Final Review:<\/strong>\u00a0The selected profiles will be reviewed by an external Admissions Committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Notification of acceptance:<\/strong>\u00a0The notifications will be sent until 27 June 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration:<\/strong>\u00a0Accepted scholars must confirm their participation and take part in a \"Meet the Cohort Webinar\".<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme elements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Fellows participate in comprehensive training sessions that cover vital areas of venture development and leadership. These sessions are designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to scale up impact-orientated ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Base camp<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A Basecamp is an Impact Workshop led by each Fellow in their community. It serves as a platform to share the venture's progress, receive feedback and build local partnerships. Successful Basecamps can unlock new opportunities, additional funding and media exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stipend for risk development<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected fellows will receive a share of a stipend of US$ 20,000 based on their progress and impact throughout the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alumni impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Watson Institute alumni have raised more than US$ 185 million for their ventures, created more than 1,900 jobs and impacted more than 10 million people around the world.
