Two annual sessions are organised to study the applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Project Criteria<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Harmonisation with existing initiatives in the area in question<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Objectives and activities related to and consistent with the M\u00e9rieux Foundation's mission and centred on HIV\/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, hepatitis, neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases that represent significant public health problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects based on an assessment of local needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects that propose concrete solutions, beyond education and awareness-raising<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects that take a global approach to health, including physical, social and psychological aspects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects adapted to the target population and of a long-term nature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects that do not submit a complete file (see documents to be attached below) are not eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects that include only research activities, with no impact on mothers and children, are not eligible.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/children\/\">in children<\/a>&nbsp;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects with a direct impact on the mother and\/or child<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect for ethical principles and gender equality in the implementation of the project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong local involvement: links with local authorities, local associations and beneficiaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Election criteria<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only projects implemented by local organisations will be studied (projects must be presented by the local structure responsible for the project).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exclusive public interest mission within the M\u00e9rieux Foundation's mandate: fighting infectious diseases that affect the most vulnerable populations in developing countries, especially mothers and children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not convicted (the organisation or one of its members) of acts contrary to the aforementioned principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not in bankruptcy or receivership<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student associations and individual applications (scholarship projects) are not eligible for this programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-profit and independent management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered with the country's authorities for at least three years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respect and sign the ethical principles of the M\u00e9rieux Foundation Charter: transparency, professionalism, quality, independence, non-discrimination, respect<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Association status under the 1901 law or recognised as a public utility or equivalent status for foreign structures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p
