In addition to the monthly stipend, fellows gain access to a worldwide network of over 14,000 alumni, a comprehensive seminar program, and personal mentoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates must have a university degree;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To demonstrate above-average academic performance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They must not be older than 35 years of age at the time of registration;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a good knowledge of the German language (level B1* or B2);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are actively involved in volunteer work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan to study for at least 4 semesters at a university in Germany;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To possess a broad general education and a distinct interest in political issues;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are open to developing their personal viewpoints and practicing tolerance, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are highly motivated and able to convince us of their goals in life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sufficient knowledge of German (level B2) is mandatory for all students before the start of their university studies in Germany. The author must be a university professor or hold a doctorate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A letter of recommendation regarding the candidate&#039;s personality: This letter should focus on their personality and interests, as well as their values and social commitment. The author cannot be the same person who provided the academic letter of recommendation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of your volunteer work, if available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A certificate of admission or enrollment from your university in Germany, if available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Doctoral students<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are applying for a doctoral scholarship, please also include the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A detailed description of your doctoral thesis: This exposition, written in German or English (4-5 pages), should outline the central research question of your proposed project, its scientific relevance, its theoretical approach, and the reasons behind your choice of research topic. It should also contain a work schedule and timetable and a bibliography.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A second academic letter of recommendation: This second letter should be written by your doctoral thesis advisor, provided you already have one.
