The program is intended for African academics who have obtained a doctoral degree within the last seven years and hold an academic position at a university or research institution anywhere in Africa. Applicants must have established a research program and have completed a postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent postdoctoral program. All disciplines are considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iso Lomso fellowships provide a three-year affiliation with STIAS to enable fellows to develop and conduct a long-term research program of their choice. The aim is to facilitate and support them in becoming established scholars in their fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VALUE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Residence at the company STIAS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Links to sister institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding to participate in up to two international conferences or training workshops anywhere in the world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for organizing workshops with employees at STIAS or their home institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for your institution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for the 2024 call for proposals, candidates must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a national of any African country;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>born after 1st January 1981;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have an affiliation with a research or higher education institution in an African country and continue to do so for the foreseeable future;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to have obtained a doctoral degree from any recognized (globally) higher education institution after January 1, 2016;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have completed a post-doctoral fellowship or an equivalent post-doctoral research programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be eligible to begin the first residency period at STIAS in 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DEADLINE:&nbsp;<\/strong>15th February 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To register and for more information,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/stias.ac.za\/fellowships\/iso-lomso\/\">click here.<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iso Lomso significa &#8220;o olho de amanh\u00e3&#8221; em isiXhosa: olhar para o futuro, lan\u00e7ar as bases para o amanh\u00e3.
