This scholarship aims to empower five exceptional young leaders to participate in the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada, from September 18-21, 2024. The scholarship is tailored for individuals dedicated to combating climate change or improving education, skills, and access to opportunities in their communities, countries, or on a global scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Deloitte is looking for candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Climate Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To create, scale, or support efforts that reduce carbon emissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To mitigate the negative impacts of climate change through various means.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Empowering individuals to take climate action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning and strategies to reduce the impacts of natural disasters related to climate change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Or:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Education and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To improve access to education, skills, or employment opportunities, especially for marginalized groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To create opportunities for skills development or lifelong learning for the future preparation of the workforce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accelerating entrepreneurship, creating new types of jobs, or breaking down traditional employment barriers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will academics receive?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected scholarship recipients will be entitled to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montreal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hotel accommodation between September 18 and 21, 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economy class travel to and from Montreal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Catering, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the summit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ground transportation between the summit locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in sessions organized by Deloitte with a &quot;friend&quot; designated by Deloitte.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for this life-changing opportunity, applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be between 18 and 30 years old (those over 30 with a strong history of impact may also be considered).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be a national of any country (projects must be based where Deloitte has a presence).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate a commitment to positive change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate leadership ability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate an understanding of key local and\/or global issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Having a track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registration deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The registration deadline is January 14, 2024.
