To harness their potential, the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), generously supported by the Government of Germany, invites young people to participate in the 2nd edition of the United Nations Young Champions for Disarmament Training Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Between 18 and 24 years old?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passionate about advocating for peace, disarmament, and gun control in your community?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Looking forward to participating in an in-person regional workshop and visiting the United Nations headquarters in New York?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If so, seize this opportunity and REGISTER NOW for a chance to be one of 15 fully funded participants in this transformative program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application deadline: November 27, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second edition of the program introduces a regional focus, bringing together young disarmament advocates from various regions \u2013 Africa, Europe, Asia, the Pacific, the Americas, and the Caribbean. In addition, three job opportunities with UNODA for young professionals will be available to support regional implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected Young Champions will receive training on disarmament, non-proliferation, arms control and their connections to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This will be followed by regular exchanges with experts, regional workshops and youth forums.
