The prize will be awarded to an internationally recognised scientist, preferably a medicinal chemist, whose activities or published reports have made an outstanding contribution to the practice of medicinal chemistry or to an outstanding example of the discovery of new medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prize was established by a generous donation from Chemical Works by Gedeon Richter, Plc. (Budapest, Hungary) to recognise the fundamental role that medicinal chemistry plays in improving human health. The 2024 IUPAC-Richter Prize will be awarded during the XXVIII EFMC International Medicinal Chemistry Symposium (1-5 September 2024) in Rome, Italy and the winner will also give a lecture on the topic of their research at the 38th ACS National Medicinal Chemistry Symposium (23-26 June 2024) in Seattle, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A prize of US$ 10 thousand will be awarded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open to an internationally recognised scientist, preferably a medicinal chemist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications are made by nomination, and only one person is required to serve in that capacity, although a total of five people should be listed additionally as references.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nomination pack must be sent via the online nomination form and must contain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a complete CV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a professional biography of no more than two pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a one-page summary of what the individual considers to be their activities, achievements and\/or publications that have had the most significant impact on the field of Medicinal Chemistry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The material will be forwarded confidentially to an independent selection committee appointed by the IUPAC Drug Discovery and Development Subcommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indication materials must be uploaded by 15 December 2023&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cognitoforms.com\/IUPAC1\/IUPACRichterPrize2024NominationForm\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, visit&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iupac.org\/2024-iupac-richter-prize-call-for-nominations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IUPAC-Richter Prize<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prazo: 15 de dezembro de 2023 Est\u00e3o abertas as inscri\u00e7\u00f5es para o&nbsp;Pr\u00eamio IUPAC-Richter 2024&nbsp;.&nbsp;O pr\u00e9mio ser\u00e1 atribu\u00eddo a um cientista reconhecido internacionalmente, de prefer\u00eancia um qu\u00edmico medicinal, cujas atividades ou relatos publicados tenham contribu\u00eddo de forma not\u00e1vel para a pr\u00e1tica da qu\u00edmica medicinal ou para um exemplo not\u00e1vel de descoberta de novos medicamentos.
