The theme of the 2024 award is \"<strong>Protecting and Guaranteeing Human Rights in Digital Environments<\/strong>\". Participants have the flexibility to choose any subject related to this theme. However, the scope of the essay must correspond directly to the 2024 theme, or it will be disqualified. In addition, we would like to note that we believe that International Human Rights Law includes International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VALUE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Academy will award two prizes, one for the best article in English and one for the best article in Spanish. The prize, in each case, will consist of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A full scholarship for the Advanced Studies Programme in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law for the Diploma or Certificate of Attendance options (travel expenses, housing and&nbsp;<em>daily<\/em>&nbsp;are not included)*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The best articles can also be published in the American University International Law Review, which contains relevant and diverse academic material.
