The AXA Professorship is a highly specialised funding scheme designed to support advanced breakthroughs in the development of a research area within a host institution, in line with the institution's long-term strategy. It aims to create a full-time academic load at the host institution and promote a step change in the career of the AXA Professor appointed. The Host Institution must intend to create a permanent full-time post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AXA Research Fund supports academic projects that contribute to a better understanding and approach to global risks, especially in the areas of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Climate and Environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Socioeconomics and New Technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Subsidies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to \u20ac200,000 per year for a maximum of 5 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host institutions must be registered in the AXA Research Fund database.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial institutions can only present one candidate for the whole institution (not one per department, faculty or laboratory).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The future President is expected to have at least a PhD + 10 years, be of the highest calibre and have presented excellent research results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The research programme must demonstrate its scientific originality and innovative character.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: Expression of interest - Send via the online application platform: details of the candidate (date of birth and date of PhD defence), short CV (3 pages) and title and description of the research programme (3000 characters including spaces).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Complete application - You will be invited to submit a complete application via the online application platform. The application must be submitted in English by the deadline.
