{"id":3934,"date":"2023-07-24T11:32:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-24T12:32:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/?p=3934"},"modified":"2023-07-24T11:32:40","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T12:32:40","slug":"chamada-para-inscricoes-divisao-de-ameacas-emergentes-a-saude-da-usaid-inovacoes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/en\/bolsas-e-fundos\/chamada-para-inscricoes-divisao-de-ameacas-emergentes-a-saude-da-usaid-inovacoes\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications: USAID Division of Emerging Health Threats, Innovations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In partnership with USAID, the Last Mile Project is seeking to identify companies that demonstrate a proven or promising innovation to address the prevention and\/or control of emerging diseases, are ready for growth and would benefit from Last Mile Project technical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support USAID's Global Health Security (GHS) objectives, this programme will aim to identify and strengthen the market entry and scale-up of health innovations that can strengthen the prevention, detection and\/or response to infectious disease threats worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solutions should focus on the late-stage development of a biomedical small form factor technology and support the following objectives of the GHS Programme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reducing the spread of emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) in humans or animals from<br>which zoonotic pathogens spread;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved detection and\/or identification of potential or actual pathogens associated with<br>EIDs; and\/or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better understanding of the epidemiology of EIDs among humans, animals,<br>insects and\/or the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solutions can include any new\/emerging technologies, products, processes or approaches that can support the main objectives of the programme described below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prevent disease outbreaks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detect threats early<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Respond quickly and effectively when outbreaks occur<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each company will be matched with a PLM Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will gain individual technical advice, training and mentoring support to design a solution to a key business challenge being faced by the company.
