The PowerUP programme is ready to empower young people with the tools and support they need to turn dreams into reality. The programme will expose participants to the skills they need to start and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PowerUp programme is an initiative to train young Nigerians in entrepreneurship. It has been found that one of the main causes of youth unemployment in Nigeria is the high level of skills gap that currently exists among young people, which makes it difficult for young people to secure decent jobs and build thriving businesses, hence the need for job creation and entrepreneurship programmes like PowerUp to equip young people to start and grow sustainable businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For maximum impact, the programme is divided into several components including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PowerUP Masterclass\/Webinar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PowerUP Training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PowerUP Pitch and Demo-Day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PowerUp Programme is sponsored by Access Corporation and fully implemented by the NerdzFactory Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Apprenticeship Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Digital marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Designing a pitch deck and how to pitch your business idea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business plan and model<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How to generate funds for your business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increasing young people's participation in entrepreneurship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help young people identify business opportunities that they can start with minimal capital<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improving access to finance for existing companies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop business skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote collaboration and networking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating jobs and economic opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme will employ a hybrid training modality - Physical and Virtual.
