The Foundry Fellowship embodies this belief through its creation of a community of Africa-based entrepreneurs who share a vision for a continent where people, ideas and resources move across borders and where ecosystems enable innovation-driven entrepreneurs to thrive and scale. This community plays a critical role in changing the narrative of Africa to one of abundance, opportunity, innovation and dynamism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Foundry Fellowship is a transformative six-month experience for talented entrepreneurs who are committed to leading the acceleration and interconnection of Africa's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The scholarship is open to founders based in Africa who have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1) founded and scaled a for-profit, innovation-orientated company, E<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2) who are now at a turning point and are preparing to make the transition to leadership in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n - Making the transition from managing your innovation-orientated company to taking on a new leadership role within the ecosystem; for example, you could be launching a venture capital fund, starting an accelerator or following a path in policy-making;<\/p>\n\n\n\n - Founding a venture or support organisation that will specifically help build innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems across Africa;<\/p>\n\n\n\n - As you expand your innovation-orientated company across the continent, and through that expansion, focus on developing the ecosystem to achieve your growth goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Applications open: 26 May 2023 at 11:00 (EDT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Deadline: 7 July 2023 11:59 (EDT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
