Do you work academically or practically on climate protection or conservation of climate-relevant resources in your home country - a non-European developing or transition country? Then we invite you to apply for an International Climate Protection Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are a potential leader, you will do a one-year research project in Germany as part of your grant; if you are a post-doc, long-term academic research (12-24 months). It should focus on combating climate change, adaptation strategies, the preservation of ecosystems and biodiversity or the sustainable use of seas and oceans. Sustainability topics related to natural resources, efficient resource consumption or urban development are also welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The grants are funded by the International Climate Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WORTH IT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A monthly stipend of \u20ac2,170, \u20ac2,470 or \u20ac2,670 in line with the programme for future leaders - depending on their training and career level; a monthly stipend of \u20ac2,670 in line with the programme for post-doctoral researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Individual support during your stay in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Additional financial support, e.g. for family members, travelling companions, travel expenses, comprehensive private health insurance or German courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A three-week introductory event where you can network with other climate protection fellows, visit companies and research institutions and take part in cultural events in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Extensive alumni sponsorship, especially to support long-term connections with your co-operation partners in Germany throughout your professional career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
