SIGN UP FOR LOCAL ACTIONS 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Global Youth Coalition invites you to make an impact in your local community and support the realisation of the demands and commitments of the Global Youth Declaration<\/a> with their peers at grassroots level by applying for the Local Actions call for applications 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage you to identify the most pressing road safety challenge in your city and propose a solution that effectively addresses it in one of the following priority areas: community mobilisation and awareness, peer-to-peer engagement, advocacy and infrastructure change.
We'll select the most innovative proposals and reward the winners with a 5,000 euro seed fund and mentoring, and we'll support you in developing a detailed project plan. Get ready and send us your applications today, by 15 January 2023 at 17:00 CET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are Local Actions?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A local action is a short- or medium-term grassroots action plan aimed at tackling the most pressing issues in the city or area to which it belongs. This project should have a tangible contribution to the Global Youth Declaration for Road Safety and a clear link to the Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects must be designed, led and implemented by young people (18-35) and focus on one or more of the four priorities: community mobilisation and awareness, advocacy, peer empowerment and\/or infrastructure change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOW TO JOIN LOCAL ACTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) READ OUR LOCAL ACTIONS 2023- GUIDELINES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before applying to join Local Actions 2023, make sure you've read our guidelines. The new set of rules differs from what we had before, so we strongly encourage you to familiarise yourself with all the requirements so that your application process runs as smoothly as possible. Go to here<\/a>;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) COMPLETE THE FIRST TWO MODULES OF YOUR ACADEMY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the requirements for this year's round of local actions is completion of the first two modules uploaded to the YOURS Academy on The Global Road Safety Problem and Youth and The Safe System Approach and Risk Factors. Applicants must have both certificates of completion to be eligible for the call for proposals. If you haven't signed up yet, there's still time! Go to here<\/a>; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) FILL IN THE APPLICATION FORM<\/strong>
After finalising our requirements, you can now fill in our application form. Here, you'll introduce yourself, the organisation you'll be working with, the project you plan to lead, and other important details. Please make sure you double-check everything before submitting, so that everything is clear on your end and ours. You can download the application form here<\/a>; <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4) SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ON A STANDARD FORM<\/strong>
By completing the requirements, you can now send<\/a> your application. Make sure you have all the upload attachments ready (i.e. application form, YOURS Academy certificates, etc.). As with the application form, check all the details before clicking \"submit\" to avoid duplicate applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
