{"id":2392,"date":"2022-11-10T17:04:31","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T18:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/?p=2392"},"modified":"2022-11-10T17:04:33","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T18:04:33","slug":"oportunidade-de-financiamento-do-unicef-para-start-ups-de-tecnologia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/en\/bolsas-e-fundos\/oportunidade-de-financiamento-do-unicef-para-start-ups-de-tecnologia\/","title":{"rendered":"UNICEF FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR TECH START-UPS"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;in progress<br><strong>Open to:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;owners of a start-up registered in one of the UNICEF programme countries showing promising results<br><strong>Scholarship:<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;USD 50-90,000 free share investments<em><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNICEF Innovation Fund aims to make investments of US$ 50 to 90,000 without shares to provide initial (seed) funding for for-profit technology start-ups that have the potential to benefit humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a start-up registered in one of UNICEF's programme countries and have a working open source prototype (or are willing to make it open source) showing promising results, the UNICEF Innovation Fund is looking for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>- You must be registered as a private company in a UNICEF programme country;<br>- You are working on open source technology solutions or wish to be open source under the following licences or equivalent: BSD (software), CERN (hardware) or CC-BY (content);<br>- You have an existing prototype of the solution with promising results from initial pilots;<br>- Your solution has the potential to positively impact children's lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BENEFITS<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Seed funding. The Fund provides US$ 50 to US$ 90,000 in seed capital with no equity. The money goes towards testing and validating prototypes and to a stage where the company has proof that the solution works.<\/li><li>Product and technology development. The selected startups will receive technical assistance from the UNICEF Ventures team to help validate and improve their solutions<\/li><li>Business growth. The Fund has a network of mentors who help the start-up teams develop their business model and strategy to expand their company and ultimately make a profit.<\/li><li>Data networks and platforms. UNICEF Ventures has a dedicated Data Science team hosting and sharing data platforms and with access to corporate partnerships and use cases from which selected startups can benefit.<\/li><li>Maximise impact.
