For established and emerging artists, the Awards offer broad exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in its 14th year, the Award consists of four competitions:\u00a0<strong>Professional<\/strong>\u00a0(for photographers entering a body of work or portfolio),<strong>\u00a0Open<\/strong>\u00a0(for photographers who submit a single image),\u00a0<strong>Student<\/strong>\u00a0(for academic institutions) and<strong>\u00a0Youth<\/strong>\u00a0(for 12 to 19 year olds). -old).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always free to enter, there's a competition and a category for everyone - from Architecture, Documentary, Landscape, Portrait, Export, Street Photography, Wildlife, Travel, Culture and more. New categories for the 2021 Awards include Object and Lifestyle in the Open competition and Portfolio in the Professional competition. The Architecture category in the Professional competition has been expanded to Architecture and Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the power to boost and mould careers, the Awards give those working in photography a global stage on which to showcase their work. Previous winning and shortlisted photographers have gone on to be represented by renowned galleries and institutions around the world, and their work has been featured in leading international publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the awards recognise the world's most influential artists working in the medium through the Outstanding Contribution to Photography award; previous recipients include Mary Ellen Mark, Elliott Erwitt, Martin Parr, William Eggleston, Candida H\u00f6fer, Nadav Kander and, most recently, Gerhard Steidl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Find the competition that's right for you - they're all free.
