{"id":2302,"date":"2022-10-28T15:25:21","date_gmt":"2022-10-28T16:25:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/?p=2302"},"modified":"2022-10-28T15:25:23","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T16:25:23","slug":"chamada-aberta-para-abordagens-inovadoras-para-modelagem-de-questoes-de-saude-da-mulher-subsidio-de-ate-us-500-000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/en\/bolsas-e-fundos\/chamada-aberta-para-abordagens-inovadoras-para-modelagem-de-questoes-de-saude-da-mulher-subsidio-de-ate-us-500-000\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Call for Innovative Approaches to Modelling Women's Health Issues: Grant of up to US$ 500,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>16 December 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit applications to Strengthening Modelling and Analysis Capacity and Ecosystem for Women's Health for innovative approaches to modelling women's health problems or broader health topics that incorporate a gender lens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The challenge<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>They are looking for projects with a timescale of 1 to 3 years that achieve at least one of the objectives:<ul><li>Increase the number of trained modellers, especially women with gender experience based in low- and middle-income countries<\/li><li>Achieve a better understanding of the problems that disproportionately affect women through modelling<\/li><li>Improve engagement with modelling approaches to support strategic planning and\/or evaluation work<\/li><li>Ideally, so should the proposals:<\/li><li>Bring together discrete modelling units in low- and middle-income countries to share knowledge<\/li><li>Enable South-South data-centred collaborations, knowledge transfer and build and strengthen existing initiatives and ecosystems<\/li><li>Fostering innovation with data in the interest of their respective local communities and achieving equal access to healthcare<\/li><li>Improve data collection, sharing, governance, regulatory compliance and analysis processes to enable data-centred and gender-aware public health research and interventions<\/li><li>Explore and improve how to build and strengthen the modelling interface with policy engagement, leading to greater adoption of insights to generate impact.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Financing information<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The level of funding for the Building Data Modelling Capacity for Gender Equality Project is a grant of up to US$ 500,000.00, provided to the organisation, with a term of up to 1 to 3 years. Application budgets must be proportionate to the scope of the proposed work.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility criteria<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Collaborative proposals led by researchers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) - they particularly encourage applications from women-led organisations and applications involving women-led projects<\/li><li>Proposals that have the potential to have an impact on addressing women's health problems within the proposed budget and timeframe of 1 to 3 years<\/li><li>Intentional or gender transformative proposals:<ul><li>Intentional gender investments, through new modelling and analytical approaches, will increase understanding of the impact that gender gaps\/barriers have on relevant fields of global health<\/li><li>Gender transformative investments, through new modelling and analytical approaches, will increase understanding of empowerment in reducing gender gaps\/barriers in relevant global health fields<\/li><li>Must demonstrate that their approach will increase knowledge and understanding of gender barriers in modelling OR Must show how their methodologies would show the impact that alleviating a known gender gap\/problem would have on relevant fields of global health<\/li><li>Proposals should also highlight existing experience around gender and modelling and how this will contribute to new methods and expanding the ecosystem<\/li><li>Proposals that demonstrate the improvement of the data value chain for intentional gender modelling<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Proposals that have timely access to the necessary data. Focus on improving gender modelling capacity in women's health in LMICs<\/li><li>Proposals that articulate how the project will lead to impact in the short term and how these benefits will be sustained after the project's lifetime<\/li><li>Proposals that demonstrate involvement with local and\/or regional decision-makers<\/li><li>Proposals that are driven by a shared commitment to open science, data sharing and building collaboration and analysis infrastructure to enable discoveries that will benefit people everywhere.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>&nbsp;Global partners can be included.
