Your journey to becoming a young IOC leader<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The selection process for the IOC Young Leaders 2023-2026 consists of two stages: the 4-week Learning Sprint and the application process for the IOC Young Leaders Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STAGE 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Completion of the 4-week Learning Sprint is the first prerequisite for a candidate to be eligible to apply for the IOC Young Leaders Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration for the 4-week learning sprint opens on 15 September and end on 20 October 2022<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four sessions of the 4-week Learning Sprint will take place in November: every Tuesday from 8 November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More details will be communicated to those who sign up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STAGE 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After successfully completing the 4-week Learning Sprint (Certificate of Participation obtained), the candidate becomes eligible to apply for the IOC Young Leaders Programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The registration process opens on 1st December and ends 31st December 2022<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking to invest in and work with an exceptional group of young leaders who have a passion for solving local problems through grassroots sports-based initiatives and sustainable social business models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We're not looking for one type of profile, but rather a diverse group of young leaders with different backgrounds, perspectives, skills, motivations and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The profile of the young IOC leader:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 20-28 years old<\/li>
  • English proficiency<\/li>
  • Passion for sport as a tool for social and economic change<\/li>
  • Interest in community action<\/li>
  • Knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals<\/li>
  • Strong communicator and team player willing to learn and grow<\/li>
  • Comfortable managing social media and new technologies and platforms<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    This programme is for you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Transform ideation and research into real action and solution development<\/li>
    • Become a more effective and stronger leader in sport and social business (or a sport and social business entrepreneur)<\/li>
    • Driving local transformative change in and through sport<\/li>
    • Representing and embodying Olympic values in action<\/li>
    • Commit to a four-year entrepreneurial journey<\/li>
    • Become a mentee and a mentor through a comprehensive mentoring programme<\/li>
    • Collaborate with other young leaders, experts, researchers, sports leaders and social business entrepreneurs<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      About the IOC Young Leaders programme<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      \"\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The IOC Young Leaders programme takes place over four years to give participants enough time to go through the stages of developing a social project\/business that provides a localised sports-based solution to a pressing challenge in their respective communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Each year of the programme is designed around the development of the young leader and their sports-based business\/social project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Overall, the learning journey covers a wide range of subjects and specialists, in areas such as human-centred design, prototyping, ecosystem mapping, leadership skills, customer segmentation, public relations, fundraising, impact measurement, user research, user testing, digital communications and finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The four-year programme has a mixed approach, combining virtual sessions and discussions, community spaces and learning through face-to-face and networking experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Most of the monthly learning will be online and will include expert sessions, sharing of practical resources, connecting group sessions and self-directed learning activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What each IOC Young Leader receives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Initial funding of CHF 10,000 over four years<\/li>
      • Monthly workshops and guidance led by experts<\/li>
      • Access to thought leaders and inspirational figures<\/li>
      • Exclusive invitation to attend the biannual IOC Youth Summit<\/li>
      • Invitations to attend and speak at global meetings<\/li>
      • Networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities<\/li>
