Applications are hereby invited from eligible students worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Birmingham, with the support of DeepMind, is committed to increasing accessibility and increasing the diversity of under-represented groups in computer science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Identify as female or identify as black African, black Caribbean or other black ethnicity<\/li><li>Be able to demonstrate that they could not accept the offer of admission without financial assistance<\/li><li>Have already received a conditional\/unconditional offer to study MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Birmingham<\/li><li>Be ordinarily resident in the UK and would be classed as living in the UK for tax purposes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship benefits<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Scholarship, valued at \u00a347,680 for international students and valued at \u00a329,860 for UK students, is applied against: international tuition fees - \u00a326,640 \/ UK tuition fees - \u00a310,620<\/li><li>A maintenance grant of \u00a315,840 (to be used for living costs), paid in instalments over the duration of the course<\/li><li>Funding of up to \u00a32,000 to attend an international conference in the field of AI and\/or Machine Learning during the course, as well as \u00a31,500 towards the purchase of essential equipment (suitable laptop, etc.).<\/li><li>\u00a31700 to help with relocation expenses<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application procedures:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates must first apply for a conditional or unconditional offer of admission before opting for the scholarship.
