Recognising the vital importance of this work, the <strong>UAF-Africa (Urgent Action Fund-Africa)<\/strong> is launching a new round of grants, offering vital financial support to organisations working at the forefront of defending women\u2019s rights in Africa, including Cape Verde. This is an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen existing initiatives and drive forward new strategies for social change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This UAF-Africa grant programme is designed to support women-led groups working in areas as diverse as gender-based violence, women\u2019s political participation, economic equality, reproductive health and women\u2019s rights in situations of conflict or crisis. Cape Verdean organisations that demonstrate a commitment to innovative approaches and to building strong and resilient movements are encouraged to apply. The funding aims not only to sustain day-to-day operations, but also to enable the expansion of projects, capacity building and the creation of more robust collaborative networks at national and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We believe that women\u2019s empowerment is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and social justice. By investing directly in local organisations, UAF-Africa seeks to amplify women\u2019s voices, ensure that their perspectives are heard and that their needs are effectively met. Grants will be awarded based on the clarity of the proposal, the expected impact and the organisation\u2019s capacity to achieve tangible results for women and girls in Cape Verde. The selection process will prioritise projects that demonstrate originality and address emerging challenges, promoting community-led and sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a time of great potential for women\u2019s rights organisations in Cape Verde. The UAF-Africa grants represent an investment in the future, a recognition of the tireless work already being done, and an incentive to achieve even more.
