Santa Cruz, Santiago - Cape Verde<\/strong> - From 15 to 20 September, the municipality of Santa Cruz will be the starting point for the Community365 2.0<\/strong>with the realisation of the first Bootcamp<\/strong> of the programme. The event will bring together community leaders, coaches, athletes and representatives of grassroots sports organisations in an environment of training, innovation and collaboration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative officially marks the start of a programme that aims to transform community sport in Cape Verde, strengthening its role as a driving force for social development. sustainable development, inclusion and social welfare<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over six days, participants will have access to practical and theoretical training on governance<\/strong>, gender equality<\/strong>, fundraising<\/strong>, digital innovation<\/strong> e social impact<\/strong>. The aim is to strengthen skills and create the conditions for sport to be a tool for positive change in communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A programme with national impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

O Community365<\/strong> is financed by Cape Verde Olympic Committee<\/strong>through its Olympic Academy<\/strong>and implemented by the social enterprise WeCare<\/strong>in partnership with Social Development Hub<\/strong>. The Bootcamps will run from September to December 2025, complemented by MOOCs<\/strong>, webinars<\/strong>tools artificial intelligence<\/strong> and a technical assistance platform for grassroots sports organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme responds to pressing challenges such as the low youth participation<\/strong>, a gender disparity in leadership<\/strong> and lack of financial and technical resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with Agenda 2020+5<\/strong> of the International Olympic Committee and with the Olympism365<\/strong>Comunidade365 2.0 is based on three strategic pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Digital education and learning resources<\/strong> to improve governance and management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Financial sustainability<\/strong> community organisations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Promoting networks and partnerships<\/strong> through Community Social Fair<\/strong>The event will bring together sports projects and potential funders.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    A movement that is already taking root<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The programme Community365<\/strong>launched in 2024, its mission is to certify the good governance of organisations that use sport to promote social impact in Cape Verde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the day 17th July 2025<\/strong>During the anniversary of the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee, certificates were awarded to the first four organisations recognised by the programme: Maracan\u00e3 Cultural and Sports Association<\/strong>, EFAT (Achada Grande Tr\u00e1s Football School)<\/strong>, Fidel Mendon\u00e7a Foundation<\/strong> e AISAPH-CV (International Academy of First Aid and Pre-Hospital Care of Cape Verde)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With the start of the Bootcamp in Santa Cruz, Comunidade365 2.0 takes the first step towards creating structural and lasting changes in the capeverdean sports ecosystem<\/strong>contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong> and for a fairer, healthier and more inclusive society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
