{"id":1193,"date":"2020-12-02T12:36:30","date_gmt":"2020-12-02T13:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wecare.center\/?p=1193"},"modified":"2020-12-02T12:36:32","modified_gmt":"2020-12-02T13:36:32","slug":"programa-global-de-subsidios-ggp-oferecendo-ate-us-150-000-para-apoiar-projetos-altamente-focados","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wecare.center\/en\/bolsas-e-fundos\/programa-global-de-subsidios-ggp-oferecendo-ate-us-150-000-para-apoiar-projetos-altamente-focados\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Grants Programme (GGP) offering up to US$ 150,000 to support highly focused projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Global Grants Programme (GGP)<\/em>\u00a0was launched to support focussed and results-oriented projects that improve data from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/health\/\">health<\/a>\u00a0public in the priority areas of the Data for Health Initiative so that governments are equipped with the tools and systems to collect and use data effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Priority areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><strong>Civil Registration and Vital Statistics<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>Improving the Governance and Coordination of CRVS;<\/li><li>Improving the Notification and Registration of Vital Events;<\/li><li>Improving medical certification of cause of death;<\/li><li>Instituting or improving ICD coding;<\/li><li>Implementation of Verbal Autopsy;<\/li><li>Improving the analysis, publication and dissemination of Vital Statistics;<\/li><li>CRVS Legal and Regulatory Review and Reform.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Data impact<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>Development of indicators;<\/li><li>Data dashboards;<\/li><li>Design\/reform of the decision-making process - prioritisation, budgeting, planning;<\/li><li>Capacity building - analysing data for public health practice;<\/li><li>Development or improvement of the data report;<\/li><li>Development or improvement of national health bulletins;<\/li><li>Online data access;<\/li><li>Development of scientific communications.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Non-Communicable Disease Surveys<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>Research design and planning;<\/li><li>Research implementation;<\/li><li>Analysing the research;<\/li><li>Publicising the research.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Cancer Registry<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>Improving the governance and coordination of the cancer registry;<\/li><li>Improving cancer registration;<\/li><li>Improving the quality of cancer registry data;<\/li><li>Improving cancer registry analyses, publication, dissemination.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Covid-19<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>CRVS<ul><li>Rapid mortality surveillance;<\/li><li>Certification and Coding of COVID-19 and Iris Recommendations for COVID-19;<\/li><li>Verbal Autopsy in the Context of COVID-19;<\/li><li>Measuring excess mortality due to COVID-19;<\/li><li>Maintenance of the Civil Registry during COVID-19;<\/li><li>Evaluation of the quality of mortality data using ANACONDA during COVID-19.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Data impact<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>Analysing COVID-19 Data for Action in Public Health.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><em><strong>Research<\/strong><\/em><ul><li>Development of surveys to collect population data on COVID-19.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financing Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For the current funding round, up to US$ 150,000 will be awarded for projects to be completed over a period of 18 months.<\/li><li>Short-term, highly focussed projects with lower budgets are strongly encouraged.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financing exclusions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Projects related to contact tracing or the delivery of COVID-19 aid or other services<\/li><li>Personal protective equipment, laboratory equipment, biological analysis<\/li><li>Individual study or training<\/li><li>Raising\/\"increasing\" the salaries of existing MOH employees (salary compensation is acceptable)<\/li><li>Lobby<\/li><li>Capital Expenditure<ul><li>New Construction<\/li><li>Vehicles<\/li><li>Computer or other electronic equipment (unless intrinsic to the project)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Global Grants Programme is aimed at ministries of health, statistics and other relevant bodies at national, sub-national or municipal level in low- and middle-income countries that have not received funding from the University of Data for Health.
