The 3rd edition of the Sport Accelerator Lab certifies 10 trainees, who began their training on 3 June and conclude today, 13 December, in a virtual session to present their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participants are from the islands of Santiago, Santo Ant\u00e3o, Fogo and Brava and have been awarded an Advanced Course in Sports Management by the International Olympic Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carlos Fontes (Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Regional de Baseball e Softball do Fogo), K\u00e1tia Duarte (Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Taekwondo Santo Ant\u00e3o Sul), Milena Tavares (Ballet Mil\u00e1), Eurico Barros (Atividade F\u00edsica e de Lazer na Terceira Idade), Susana Duarte (Social Development Hub), Teresa Mascarenhas and Edmilson Tavares (Acarinhar), Nelson Almeida (Velejadores do Vento Leste), Nilson Pires (Gym Fitness Inclusivo), Wanderley Spencer (Academia de Volley Futuro) presented their organisations and the development they have benefited from participating in the Ideas Accelerator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The training included six modules in the different areas of: Strategic Management, Financial Planning, Sports Event Management, Marketing Management, Organisational Development and Human Resources Organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the course of six months, the trainees were accompanied by a mentor to carry out six case studies in the areas covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Sport Accelerator Lab is a six-month programme in which entrepreneurs have 36 hours of face-to-face training and 42 hours of remote project mentoring with experts in entrepreneurship, innovation and sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants will have access to a range of technical assistance services for development, project implementation and the creation of organisational sustainability, enabling them to develop their projects and perfect their products adapted to the sports value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Sport Accelerator Lab is the second phase of the Sport BootCamp ideas competition, with greater organisational involvement and a more specific approach to structuring companies and organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This course is one of the International Olympic Committee's Olympic Solidarity Programmes for the administrative development of the various National Olympic Committees.
