On 21 June 2025, the community of Ponta D'Água, in the city of Praia, will host
of the first edition of Kumunidadi Festan unprecedented community event that
celebrates solidarity, culture, sport and social entrepreneurship with
based on the historical legacy of this area as the cradle of water distribution in the region.

Organised by CUFA Cape Verde and Maracanã Association
and promoted in partnership with various local and international organisations, the
Kumunidadi Fest emerges as a response to social fragmentation and invisibility
of the urban peripheries, offering 10 great activities integrated and
inspired by CUFA's seven pillars: Art and Culture; Community and Security;
Human Rights; Economy; Entrepreneurship; Sport; and Family and Health.

With the motto "Water that brought us together. Culture that transforms us", the festival evokes the
memory of the sharing of water - an essential and scarce commodity - to design a
the future of collective transformation through culture, inclusion and innovation.

Favelas Cape Verde - Football tournament with qualified teams
for the world edition in Brazil; - Basketball
Street - 3×3 competition to spot talent
towards the Dakar2026 Youth Olympic Games; - Kumunidadi
Games -Sprinting and jumping games for young people, with physiological tests and
sports accompaniment; - Spoken Kumunidadi - Poetry sessions and round table with young people
leaders on community development; - Kriolo Clash and Bring Your Style! - Freestyle and urban dance tournaments with
international projection; - Sintaxy Robot Show - Exhibition of robotics and programming projects by young people;
- Cinema at Kumunidadi - Open-air session with debates
community; - Kumunidadi Empreende Fair - Exhibition of local products and promotion of entrepreneurship;
- Kumunidart - Painting a collective mural with local and international artists;
- Health at Kumunidadi - Screening and counselling fair

With 3,000 visitorsThe festival aims to guarantee 30% from
female participation e 30% of children under 18 between
participants, as well as the presence of public figures and athletes from
reference. The strategic objectives include talent spotting
for the Youth Olympics, the promoting grassroots entrepreneurship and reinforcement
a sense of belonging and community pride.
