The first edition of the Community365 Workshop was attended by 11 sports activists from Praia.
The programme focused on the themes of Good Governance, with an emphasis on the Structure and Democratic nature of organisations, Transparency and Accountability, but also on the themes of Community Impact - Integrity and Child Protection.
Comunidade 365 is the empowerment platform dedicated to all organisations that are creating impact in order to leverage their efforts for better operation through the creation of national and international networks with the common goal: social and community impact.
The target audience for this platform is community leaders, managers, coaches and volunteers from sports organisations with a community relationship to develop projects, services or products in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the International Olympic Committee's Olympism365 strategy.
This programme is funded by the Cape Verdean Olympic Academy and the Cape Verdean Olympic Committee with the support of the International Olympic Committee and implemented by WeCare. The organisation Social Innovation Sports was a key partner in the design of the project and Social Development Hub will be an implementation partner.
Representatives of various sports organisations such as Maracanã, the Childrens Trust and the Fidel Mendonça Foundation, among others, were present.
The Community 365 programme is aligned with the 17 Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations' Agenda2030.
The new generation of Comunidade365 now has the mission of promoting ethical values and Olympic principles, such as excellence, friendship and respect, and adapting their organisation to the Good Governance and Community Impact criteria in order to access the platform's opportunities.
