The Maracanã Cultural and Sports Association, EFAT (Achada Grande Trás Football School), the Fidel Mendonça Foundation and AISAPH-CV (Cape Verde's International Academy of First Aid and Pre-Hospital Care) have just become the first organisations to be certified by Comunidade365 - a distinction that marks a new level of recognition and trust in Cape Verde's social and community sector.
Community365 certification is awarded to organisations that demonstrate excellence in management, measurable social impact, innovation and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Being certified is not just a seal of quality, it's an attestation that the organisation operates with transparency, ethics, responsibility and a focus on lasting results for the community.
The benefits of certification include:
- Strengthen its credibility with potential funders;
- Participate in a strategic network with other influential organisations;
- Priority in exclusive programmes;
- Recognition as an outstanding partner.
The certification comes at a time when Cape Verde is seeking to strengthen its social impact ecosystem, valuing organisations that not only operate locally, but also have the capacity to scale solutions, train leaders and influence public policies.
With this milestone, Comunidade365 is taking an important step towards setting standards of excellence in the third sector, inspiring other institutions to qualify and become even more effective agents of positive change.
This programme is promoted by the Cape Verde Olympic Academy and operated by the social enterprise WeCare with the aim of providing sustainable development for organisations that use sport as a tool for social impact.
