We've had another year of challenges and achievements. 2024 has undoubtedly been a period of affirmation for WeCare in which we've had to be ever more creative in order to respond to what the world needs.

In our WeCare community we have published 461 funding, training and capacity-building opportunities.

We have been involved in 34 human development programmes and projects in Cape Verde and around the world.

We have completed Sport BootCamp with 16 editions from 2019 to 2024, with 5 editions held this year. This programme took us to all the islands of Cape Verde and we can say with gratitude that we trained more than 200 promoters and some of the businesses are firm and strong in the market. We also had the 3rd edition of Sport Accelerator Lab, the training course for advanced sports management, in which 10 trainees graduated, some with projects already operating, others that we hope to see kick off in 2025.

We have launched the Comunidade365 programme, together with the Cape Verde Olympic Committee, our great partner, whom we thank for their confidence in this journey. Get ready, this programme will bring many opportunities in 2025!

We have been to 6 different countries, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Ghana, Belgium, including our participation in the Paris2024 Olympic Games, spreading the message of social entrepreneurship.

We also started a partnership to spread the message of social entrepreneurship with Balai Cape Verde.

To finish with the icing on the cake, our solar panels produced 4358.1 KhW, absorbing 884kg of CO2 from the atmosphere, the equivalent of planting 40 trees.

We ended the year with a great sense of gratitude to our partners. We've learnt a lot, we're more aware of our environmental and social impact and we've integrated Artificial Intelligence as our companion in the search for solutions to our day-to-day challenges.

Large or small organisations, the WeCare Community exists because we are a group of people who believe in empowerment and the ability to design the world we want every day. The year is coming to an end, but our dreams are getting bigger and bigger. Stay with us, 2025 can't wait.
