The four yali Regional Leadership Centres, in partnership with USAID, are honoured to host this inaugural event which will take place at the yali Regional Leadership Centre South Africa at the end of March 2021, conditions permitting.

About the Award: Forty selected alumni will be invited to showcase their projects, products or services to YALI Africa's partners. This platform will present spaces for networking and collaboration for all who participate. Breakout sessions, lightning talks, a networking event and an Expo are being planned for the two-day event. Alumni not present in person will have the opportunity to engage and interact virtually with the event via YALI Africa's social media platforms.

Selection criteria:
- RLC Alumnus must be from one of the 4 RLCs
- The sectors prioritised are agriculture, circular economy, energy, health, education, technology, journalism, media, arts, fashion, entertainment and any other innovative ideas in social society, governance and civil society.
- Candidates can be:
- owns or plays a leading role in a business, social enterprise, non-profit organisation, community project or advocacy group already making a difference in their communities, or
- started the project and its growth potential is demonstrated, or
- have collaborated with the government to bring about tangible changes in the public space.

Number of awards: Face-to-face participation in the Marketplace is limited to forty (40) alumni across the continent, with each of the Regional Leadership Centres selecting ten representatives to take part.
Premium amount: if you are selected to take part, the costs of the event, travel and accommodation will be covered by YALI Africa.
