Embracing youth-led initiatives
In 2023, the UN Global Climate Action Awards will focus on outstanding climate action led by young people. Two prestigious youth awards will be presented:
- Youth Prize for the Energy Transition: Recognise innovation in energy transition and equity, whether by an individual or a group of young visionaries.
- Youth Prize for Nature and Ecosystem-Based Climate Action: Recognising nature and ecosystem-focused activities in indigenous or local communities. These initiatives contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, promote equity and harness the power of nature-based solutions.
