A Talent Bridge Africa invites applications for the Build programme for African innovators who are building thriving communities in 2021. The Build programme is a 10-month innovation programme open to ambitious people: active professionals, young graduates or students who are passionate about solving problems in Africa.

Eligibility
To qualify for any stage, the innovation must meet the following criteria:
- It must be a real innovation
(nothing like it on the market or significantly improves an existing solution)
- Must be able to demonstrate the impact that the innovation will have on the education, health or agriculture sectors
- Must be able to reach at least 20,000 people (direct and indirect users)
- It must apply technology to reach its users
- Must have a minimum of three team members registered with us. Teams with both sexes represented will receive a higher score than those without
- It must be self-sufficient
- You must be present in Kenya.
- You can only submit one (1) entry per team in each application round.
Criteria
of the financing phase To be eligible for the financing phase, the innovation must meet the following criteria: - You must have a ready-made innovation (product or service) that has been placed on the market and for which demand has been demonstrated for at least 4 months. If your innovation has not reached this stage, you can apply for the construction stage
- Must have a viable entity registered in Kenya that can be funded
- Must have at least one full-time member
- The candidate must be a director of the registered organisation
- You must be in
operation
for at least one (1) year construction phase criteria To qualify for the construction phase, the innovation must meet the following criteria: - It must have a clearly defined idea with a documented concept note
- Must complete the construction phase within a maximum of 6 months
- Must be available to participate fully in all aspects of the programme
- It must contribute Ksh 2,900 ($29) per team member per month for the duration of the CONSTRUCTION phase. The student team receives an additional grant and will contribute Ksh 1,200 (US$ 12) per team member per month. This quota requirement will help eliminate any loose association and uncommitted staff.
