The Tony Elumelu Foundation is Africa's leading champion of entrepreneurship. Our aim is to empower women and men across our continent by catalysing economic growth, driving poverty eradication and ensuring job creation. We believe that the role of the private sector is fundamental to Africa's development and that the private sector must create both social and economic wealth.

In 2015, the Foundation launched the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme, a $100 million commitment by Tony Elumelu to empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs over 10 years. Building on the success of the Programme and its unique ability to identify, mentor and fund entrepreneurs across Africa, the Foundation is increasingly sharing its robust delivery platform and working in partnership with institutions such as the United Nations Development Programme, the African Development Bank, the International Committee of the Red Cross, GIZ, and the United Bank for Africa Plc, to create a significant and permanent impact across Africa.

ELIGIBILITY

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a government-issued identity card as proof of eligibility.
• Members of the same family are not allowed to apply for the Programme, which would result in disqualification.
• Candidates are expected to apply with only one existing company or business idea.
• Candidates who have applied several times in the same cycle or in different cycles will be disqualified. The platform offers networks/connections with more than 1 million African entrepreneurs.
