Through this programme, the Dutch Embassy in Dakar provides financial support for activities with the theme: "Raising awareness of the fight against climate change".
This programme offers the possibility of funding projects in the following countries:SenegalThe Gambia The following countries are also eligible: Guinea-Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Cape Verde and Mauritania
Financing information
The Embassy's financial contribution does not exceed a maximum of 16,000,000 FCFA / €24,500 and is granted only once per project.
Criteria
The programme's criteria:The project is either a one-off activity or the funding will probably enable the project to become self-sufficient afterwards.The maximum duration of a project under this programme is one year.The Embassy's financial contribution does not exceed a maximum of 16,000,000 FCFA / €24,500 and is granted only once per project.A contribution from the applicant organisation is appreciated, but not obligatory.The Embassy's grant is usually paid out in two instalments.Its programmes are aimed at NGOs and non-profit associations officially recognised in the countries where the activities will take place.Occasionally, funding is given to a Dutch non-governmental organisation for a project that benefits people in one of the countries mentioned above. Organisations that have not received funding from the Dutch Embassy in the last two years will have priority in the selection.The programme does not subsidise:Specialised missions, travel, etc.Equipment or operating costs of the organisation (salaries, rental costs, etc.), unless this is justified within the framework of the project and only represents a maximum of 7.5% of the budget value for the project activities.
