The Shark Tank of Wellness global student competition offers three university students a life-changing opportunity to network with leading wellness visionaries and business leaders. Three finalists will fly to GWS 2023 to be held from 6 to 9 November in Doha, Qatar, to pitch their wellness business idea to a panel of wellness sharks, who are business leaders and investors in wellness. The Wellness Sharks will ask questions of the students, who will defend their innovation and make a business case for its viability on stage in front of hundreds of Summit delegates - a "who's who" in the global wellness world from over 50 countries.

VALUE

  • The top three finalists, together with their teachers, will be flown to Doha, Qatar, to take part in the Global Wellness Summit from 6 to 9 November 2023, an invaluable opportunity for the students to mix and network with global visionaries and perhaps even find an investor for their business idea.
  • First place will receive US$ 5,000, second place will win US$ 3,000 and third place will win US$ 2,000.
  • Additional non-cash prizes include airline tickets and hotel accommodation in Tel Aviv, Israel, for the three best finalist students (individual or team leader) and their teachers.
  • Also included is access to the three-day Summit (a value of US$ 4,560), including all general sessions, discussions and industry forums with global industry leaders.
  • A multitude of social events and a final gala evening are included. This is an invaluable opportunity to meet and learn from global visionaries.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The competition is open to individual students and teams of students over the age of 18 from anywhere in the world.
  • The participant(s) must be an undergraduate university or college student (working towards a one- or two-year diploma, a four-year bachelor's degree or a Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification) or a postgraduate/postgraduate student (working towards a master's degree, MBA, JD, MD or Ph.D.) at a university or college of distinction at the time they develop and submit their concept.
  • The participant(s) must be a full-time or part-time student at the university or college.
  • The participant(s) must have a teacher or faculty advisor to mentor their project.
  • All contestants must be available to attend the Global Wellness Summit 2023, from 6 to 9 November in Doha, Qatar, to present their idea in person.
