Applications for the Coimbra Group University Scholarships Programme 2024-2025 for Young African Researchers . Since 2008, the Universities of the Coimbra Group have offered young researchers from universities in sub-Saharan Africa the opportunity to spend a short period (usually 1 to 3 months) at a University of the Coimbra Group to carry out part of their research there.
The main aim of this scholarship programme is to enable academics to carry out research in which they are involved at their home institution and to help them establish academic and research contacts in Europe. The scholarships are financially supported by the Coimbra Group member universities participating in this programme, and the Coimbra Group Office is responsible for the administrative management of applications.

- Born on or after 1st January 1979.
- Be nationals and current residents of a sub-Saharan African country.
- Be current employees of a university or equivalent higher education institution in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Preferably have a doctorate/post-doctorate or equivalent.
- Have a letter/email of acceptance from the tutor/supervisor with whom the work programme will be carried out
