CcHub and the Mastercard Foundation are partnering to empower education technology startups that are building tools that improve learning outcomes and accelerate access to equitable, quality education for Africa's next generation.

The programme offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a network of experienced professionals with the same goal: driving innovation in the edtech sector. They will provide practical guidance and resources to help you take your startup to the next level.

• The startups should be focussed on Africa and incorporated in Nigeria.
• They must create solutions that address the challenges from primary to secondary education, higher education and vocational training.
• Your Edtech solution must have both of these qualities:
  • Based on an EdTech solution
    • It must have verifiable users aligned with the focus of the accelerator: access to education, student learning, school management and teacher/trainer effectiveness.
  • Inclusive Teams
    • Applicants must have a balanced team and be passionate about education. Female founders of EdTech solutions companies are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application

Applications will be analysed in three stages:

Step 1: Interested innovators should register below. At this stage, Edtech solutions will be assessed according to the following criteria:

• Problem/Solution setting
• Founder potential
• Adjusting the business model
• Traction

Stage 2: The EdTech solutions selected in the first stage will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:

• Scalability
• Long term
• Plan/Vision
• Competitive advantage
• Team potential

Step 3: The final stage will be an interview with the candidates who have successfully passed the assessment stage. A final selection will then be made, subject to due diligence.
