Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Scholarship for Academic Year 2024
The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) is a multidisciplinary postgraduate academic institute established in 2005 under the initiative of Professor Dr Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. The aim of the CGI is to employ the latest interactive teaching techniques used in leading educational and research institutions to produce effective thinkers and leaders to better meet the needs of their countries towards sustainable development. The CGI is currently offering programmes leading to Master's degrees in Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology and Chemical Sciences.
This year, 15 (fifteen) scholarships are available for international candidates (except Thai citizens) to undertake a master's study at the CGI. The selection of candidates will be based on merit.
Eligibility
Scholarships are open to eligible candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Under 30
- Hold a bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 in one of the following areas:
Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences
Medical Sciences: Medicine, Medical Technology
Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
Candidates from other related areas are also welcome to apply.
- Have experience in scientific laboratory research
- Must have demonstrated proficiency in English, preferably in one of the two recognised language proficiency tests (TOEFL, IELTS)
- You must provide a statement of purpose explaining your interests in the study

Scholarship cover
The grant will cover tuition and other academic fees (credit fee, laboratory expenses, refresher course, registration fee, thesis fee, submission of thesis documents), return airfare, visa fee, first settlement allowance, relocation allowance, accommodation, monthly stipend, book allowance, health insurance, among others.
Award period
The scholarship will cover 6 weeks of refresher courses and will continue for a period of 2 years of master's study, subject to an annual review of the scholar's satisfactory progress.
| Note: The refresher courses will start provisionally in June 2024, while the academic programme will start in August 2024. |

Applicants must fill in the application form for the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute's Postgraduate Programme and send it together with other supporting documents via the following channel:

Supporting document
The following documents must be submitted with the application form:
- Complete academic transcript
- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Statement of Purpose explaining the interest of the study
- Medical History Report
- Other supporting documents to facilitate the analysis of applications
Registration period
Applications for the CGI Postgraduate Scholarship Programme run until 30 September 2023.
Premium Notification
Successful candidates will be notified of the result by the CGI around January 2024.
