The African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) has released details of the 2021 Plant Nutrition Scholar Award programme, which is available to postgraduate students enrolled in specialised programmes in the sciences of plant nutrition and crop nutrient management.
The 2022 African Plant Nutrition Academic Awards Programme will offer ten (10) awards of US $ 2,000 (US dollars) to M.Sc, M.Phil. or Ph.D. students in soil science, agronomy and horticulture or tree crop science with a focus on plant nutrition. Students must also be attending a degree awarding institution located in Africa.
Eligibility Requirements for the African Plant Nutrition Scholarship Programme
Postgraduate students are eligible if they are:
- He is currently attending a degree-granting institution in Africa.
- Applicants for M.Sc., M.Phil., or Ph.D. degrees, who are currently enrolled in a postgraduate programme as of the application deadline. Applicants who have already completed their degrees are not eligible.
- Students in soil and plant science disciplines (including agronomy, horticulture, ecology, soil fertility, soil chemistry, crop physiology, environmental sciences and other areas related to crop nutrition) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous winners of the Prize are not eligible.
